| These instruments produce a sweet, soothing sound. I feel this is one of the easiest stringed instruments in the world to play. Anyone who can hum or sing a tune can easily learn to play it on the dulcimer. Fitted with a diatonic fret scale (except for the optional 6 ½ fret), it is a great melody instrument. However, it is not limited to the most basic playing style. In the hands of expert players, it becomes a very complex instrument. |
